Job Description:

We’re looking for a commercially focused strategic marketing planner, who is passionate about insight, measurement and delivering commercial results to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract.

Working in our award-winning brand marketing team, it’s a great opportunity to develop best in class brand strategy and plans to deliver national campaigns that cut through well beyond their budget.

Main Responsibilities

This role is responsible for leading, delivering and advising on the development of our brand strategy and planning. Guardian of the brand media budget you will be recommending optimum investment levels to align with corporate objectives, ensuring performance monitoring of brand health metrics to inform optimisation of activity and deliver commercial results.

Your role will be to drive forward and manage the research and measurement requirements for brand, to ensure data driven decision making and planning, to drive customer growth in an effective and cost-efficient manner.

You will lead cross functional marketing group and oversee the creation of the marketing strategy for the Society, using your industry knowledge and insight to influence how it evolves and ensure alignment of all channels.

Ensures up to date understanding of the Society’s target audience and customer segments inform all planned activity and messaging, supporting the brand proposition lead and campaign specialists in the creation of creative briefs, particularly informing channel strategy, audience insight and objectives.

Ideal Candidate

Some people see the big picture. Others focus on detail. We need someone who can do both. You’ll also need a degree level education and significant experience in creating brand plans that are underpinned by analysis and insight, as well as media buying and brand management experience. You will be in your element interrogating media plans, dissecting econometrics results and drawing customer insight from TGI data.

Getting buy-in will be a big part of this role. So you’ll need to know how to deliver a convincing yet concise rationale and be prepared to challenge when necessary. You’ll also need some extra special organisational skills and an ability to coordinate multiple teams both internal and external.
