Our Family Early Help Service is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Business Support Officer to join our vibrant Family Early Help Business Support Team. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering an outstanding service to children and families in Southwark. Come and join us!
About the Service:
You will be joining a vibrant and busy service with strong leadership and support. Based in Peckham, the Family Early Help Service is committed to providing early intervention and high-quality tailored support to children, young people, and their families. Our overall objective is to create a brighter future for Southwark’s diverse communities. Southwark Children’s Services provides leadership, support, challenge and guidance to a range of services and partners working to deliver improved outcomes for children, young people, and their families in Southwark. The Family Early Help Service is a part of the wider Southwark Children’s Services.
The Role:
The successful candidate will often be the first point of contact in the service for members of the public and partner agencies, providing consultation, advice, support, signposting and feedback through a range of communication methods (E.g. face to face, email, letters,telephone). Alongside your colleagues, you will ensure that contacts and referrals received by the Family Early Help Service are processed within agreed timescales and accurately recorded. You will be responsible for a specific area of work and will collaborate closely with team members, assisting with administrative tasks and processes.
You will also be responsible for inputting and maintaining high data quality, complying with statutory guidance (Data Protection, Safeguarding procedures), and producing information that is accurate, reliable, timely, valid and relevant.
To support you in your role, we offer:

* Access to in-house and bespoke training opportunities.
* One-on-one on the job training specific to the duties you will be performing
You will also have opportunities to work closely with practitioners and parenting facilitators as part of your learning and development.

The successful candidate will have excellent organisational skills to manage work in a demanding and busy environment. You will also work well in partnership with colleagues to maintain high standards of work. We seek a dedicated Business Support Officer who is keen for professional development opportunities that will enable you to take the initiative and manage your time effectively. You should be an experienced worker who can interpret and record high-quality information to assist practitioners and managers in their tasks. Additionally, you will respond swiftly to phone calls and emails, providing information and advice as directed by managers.
