Cambian Group, the UK’s largest provider of specialist services in children’s residential care, education, mental health rehabilitation and learning disabilities, is looking for a dedicated individual to join the company as a Clinical Practice Lead.
The post will require someone with previous experience of working in a CAMHS settings, specifically within Looked After Children’s services and experience of working with children who have experienced a range of traumatic events.
The Clinical Practice Lead – Midlands/CTS Hub is a senior role carrying both clinical and leadership and management responsibilities, in addition to holding a small complex caseload for therapeutic assessment, clinical reports and intervention in addition in the CTS service and provide clinical support/guidance for other caseloads as required.
Your role will be to lead the team by offering both direct and indirect clinical input to children in care. This will include designing and offering bespoke training packages for staff, screening potential referrals, supporting the specialist residential homes with young people who have experienced trauma and supporting staff with 1-1 supervision and reflective practice groups.
Alongside this, you will be responsible for leading the service on evidence-based practice for supporting children in care who have experienced trauma/adverse childhood experiences.
You will have the ability to work with a range of staff teams to best support our young people and have the ability to create close working relationships with care home managers.
As part of this senior role you will be expected to lead, manage and supervise the clinical team to ensure they are providing the best possible clinical input to the specialist residential homes and most importantly the young person.

To be successful within this role you will need to have experience in:
Working with Looked After Children and young people presenting with a range of clinical need
Knowledge of theory and practice of therapeutic interventions with children and young people.
Assessment, intervention and management of a range of mental health needs including trauma.
Partnership working supporting agreed placement objectives, care planning and progression including regular clinical reporting and routine outcome measures
Registered with the relevant professional (HCPC, NMC, SWE, BABCP)
Mental Health background and/or CAMHS experience
Relevant qualifications to allow you to offer children therapy, when required
Be a strong team player, with excellent communication skills
Have excellent communication, organisational and time management skills
