Overview

We are looking for a Commercial Finance Manager to join our team at Cygnet. 

This role can be based from either of our offices in Millbank or Sevenoaks. 

Cygnet was established in 1988. Since then we have developed a wide range of health and social care services for young people and adults with mental health needs, acquired brain injuries, eating disorders, autism and learning disabilities within the UK.

Holds the responsibility of providing a commercial and strategically focussed business, finance and analyst support to the MD / CEO of the division and supporting functions, allowing them to deliver their budget and longer term business plan including growth. 

Assisting the team from conception of budgets to operational delivery, whilst ensuring quality care, health and safety and excellent safeguarding systems are provided for the individuals in our care. 

Additionally providing leadership input for business projects with financial impact and acting as liaison point for company stakeholders including internal and external customers; regulatory bodies; public relations.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • To act as the finance business partner for the division. Providing strategic financial leadership and ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
  • To be responsible for producing the annual budget, and forecasting processes, driving financial performance improvements in the Division.
  • To provide guidance for location managers and Regional Operations Directors enabling them to understand and track financial data against KPI’s.
  • To perform a thorough monthly review to better understand any financial issues at a site level and to work with the Operational team to ensure that any issues are eliminated in a timely manner.
  • To provide analysis on the key drivers of the division’s performance, particularly revenue, occupancy and salaries.
  • To own and maintain the funding model, ensuring information is provided to the Commissioning Team on a timely basis.
  • To assist the Senior Commercial Finance Manager, Head of Commercial Finance and CFO with ad hoc projects as necessary.
  • Financial modelling for ad-hoc projects such as business development plans will be required.
  • Other ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required by senior stakeholders.
