£14.50 per hour, 37.5 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday Days
Closed weekends and Bank Holidays

We’re currently recruiting a Lead Chef to help us create exceptional food experiences for Healthcare on a full time basis contracted to 37.5 hours per week. As a Lead Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and serving the kind of food that truly brightens our clients’ and customers’ days, all within the market-leading food service company in the UK. To preparing, assembling & cooking all menu dishes (which includes those sourced from our dedicated Cuisine Centre) providing high quality dishes for the customer whilst supervising 1 other members of the kitchen team. Assist in general cleaning of the kitchen, maintaining high standards of hygiene. Drive sales through centrally driven menu plans and promotions and ensure compliance through preferred suppliers. Provide high quality service to customers and client in line with a food service offer that is applicable to sector and client.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers
  • Follow set portion control and ensure all food is purchased in the first instance from our preferred list of suppliers wherever possible
  • To ensure all food is handled and stored at the correct temperature and in accordance with Food Handling and Hygiene Regulations.
  • To serve on the food counters in the client’s premises following all customer service standards
  • Use machinery as shown and trained to ensure equipment is used safely and in accordance with legislation, and reporting of equipment issues to your line manager
  • To ensure that work areas are kept clean and that all waste is recorded and disposed of correctly
  • Identifying opportunities to improve our food services
  • Listening and acting on customer feedback to consistently improve our food services
  • Representing Healthcare and maintaining a positive brand image
  • Assisting the General Manager in ordering stock taking and other admin duties

Our ideal Chef will:

  • Possess a ‘can do attitude’
  • Be quality driven & be able to maintain high standards.
  • Have a passion for food and customer service.
  • Be able to demonstrate good people skills
  • Hold an industry recognised qualification e.g. City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent
  • Have previous experience of supervision
  • Hold a current Food Hygiene Certificate Lvl 1 as minimum
