Job Title: Digital PR Lead

Location: Hybrid (Manchester/Derby)

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000

The Role

Motorpoint operates in a content-rich and highly competitive market. As the Digital PR Lead, you will work closely with and report into the PR Manager to build the website’s profile and authority.

The role will see you responsible for helping to develop DPR strategies to continue building online coverage, following recommendations from the SEO and brand teams.

Ideal candidates will have 2-3 years’ experience in one or more digital PR roles and will be confident researching, planning and executing DPR campaigns and tactical link building projects.

What will you be getting up to?

  • Own elements of the offsite digital activity for Motorpoint Group as part of the SEO team, including Motorpoint, Sell Your Car and Auction4Cars, including DPR campaigns and tactical link building projects
  • Work closely with the PR Manager, SEO and brand teams to develop and execute an impactful DPR strategy routed in data & insight, competitors and business priorities. This includes reviewing competitor activity to understand the scale of an opportunity and evaluating campaigns to make recommendations for future activity
  • Experience utilising a broad range of link building tactics to drive results, including case studies, educational link building and link reclamation
  • Own and manage smaller campaigns and activity end-to-end, holding responsibility for project delivery. Including, briefing in and managing creative and development resource to help bring campaigns and concepts to life
  • Help to manage the Motorpoint press office, supporting with a broad range of activity, including in-bound media requests, newsjacking opportunities and thought leadership
  • Work with the brand team to provide support for wider initiatives, including campaigns and new store openings
  • Work alongside third parties and help to manage additional resource / freelancers, where appropriate.

What do we need from you?

  • 2-3 years’ experience across digital PR, or similar experience within a PR comms role.
  • A proven track record delivering effective outreach, campaigns and tactical digital PR work.
  • Positive and outgoing, a great team player.
  • Have a working understanding of SEO and the part offsite authority plays in delivering search performance.
  • Be accountable for results from the work, but also confident setting expectations across the business on outcomes.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbally.
  • Successful track record of establishing relationships with external media, partner websites and webmasters.
  • Ability to work closely with and influence a range of internal stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.
