Job Description


The Director, Global Client Partner at APEX will enable and support the growth of APEX across Publicis Groupe’s global client base, with a particular focus on growing adoption on those clients outside of the US.

You will need to build up a strong understanding and appreciation of the challenges and priorities of our global clients and account teams, and help them navigate the APEX offering in support of solving and delivering on those. You will also play an important role in translating those global challenges and priorities to our local APEX teams to help them set a clear partnership agenda with their local client/agency counterparts, ensuring that we have a consistent and effective growth strategy.

The ideal candidate for this position will be a great communicator and thoughtful decision maker who can build bridges across functions and departments, effectively communicate client needs, and oversee multiple projects geared towards maximizing business results for clients.

The candidate must be comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders in global positions within agencies and within client organizations. They will be able to identify business challenges that exist for our clients, and provide relevant and effective solutions to these challenges with a deep understanding of the APEX global offering.

Must haves for this role include a proven track record and comfort in a client facing role, a deep understanding of the media landscape and future trends, with particular emphasis on digital. Global experience, an entrepreneurial spirit, as well as a team-oriented and hands-on approach are all key skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Structure and execute operational and strategic initiatives – developing account growth plans, synthesizing market related data, leading client analysis and defining the overall business approach to growing APEX, with a key focus in non-US markets
  • Deliver tailored APEX proposals, pitches and opportunities to global clients – communicating the benefits of APEX utilization which are relevant to the specific client business
  • Ensure selected Apex global accounts are receiving the highest customer service, all commercial requirements and performance metrics are being adhered to, and a regular cadence of reporting and insights is being shared back with the account leads and clients to continually reinforce the value of their Apex investment
  • Effectively communicate and frame client opportunities and challenges to issue clear project briefs and expectations when enlisting cross functional support
  • Hone in on relevant market and geographical trends and opportunities in order to craft business cases that support any new requests and/or changes that alter product vision/roadmap
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across multiple internal and external teams


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of media industry experience
  • Proven knowledge of digital planning and buying process with understanding of various vendors, different cost methods, data, measurement, reporting, and delivery validation
  • Strong quantitative skills, including analytical abilities and math proficiency
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, personable and articulate
  • Able to build positive working relationships with internal colleagues as well as external clients and vendors
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, and savvy when to bring in additional expertise
  • Good time management with the ability to prioritize multiple projects proactively and concurrently
  • Overall business and commercial acumen to help drive new business and upsell/cross-sell efforts effectively
