We’relooking for a credible, people-focused individual to join our People Functionas our Employee Relations Manager. This is a fast-paced role where you willlead a small team of Employee Relations Specialists and also manage complexcases, ensuring you and your team provide timely and pragmatic advice tocolleagues and leaders across the Society.

We’veadapted really well to home working during the current pandemic, and wecertainly want to offer flexibility with this going forward. Although our HeadOffice is in Skipton, there would not be a requirement for you to be based herefull time. We are open to discussing any flexible working requests you mayhave.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll support your team by providing expert advice,coaching, and development conversations to promote a high-performing cultureand a collaborative approach to workloads. You will also build excellentrelationships with stakeholders at all levels across the Society and offersupport and challenge where appropriate to enable the right outcomes.

Your team will be responsible for ensuring our Peoplepolicies and procedures are accurate, up to date and in line with legislation.You’ll build external relationships to ensure your knowledge remains relevant andyou will also work closely with the union to help manage and support on-goingcases.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for a HR expert who has a working knowledge ofHR practices, employment legislation and HR specialisms. You’ll also haveexperience supporting and developing colleagues. The key competencies for thisrole are:

– Experience handling multiple, complex Employee Relations cases – Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels – Leadership skills – Experience advising and coaching line managers – Experience in a fast-paced environment with the ability to be proactive to drive delivery as well as deal   with emerging issues
