Exercise Therapist

About Us
The Fire Fighters Charity offers specialist, lifelong support for members of the UK fire services community empowering individuals to achieve mental, physical, and social wellbeing throughout their lives.

We are looking for an experienced Exercise Therapist to join our multi-profession rehabilitation team at our residential centre, Marine Court in West Sussex.

About the Role

Designing and delivering exercise programmes and health and wellbeing activities, you will interact with service users face-to-face, over the telephone and online. After working with beneficiaries to understand their individual needs, you will develop tailored exercise plans, conduct individual and group coaching sessions and create online self-care initiatives, whilst constantly monitoring participants’ progress.

We need a passionate professional who can make a lasting difference to people’s lives and mobility, so you will require sound experience within rehabilitation settings, including proven ability to lead group exercise sessions on land and in water.

We promote a healthy work life balance for all employees, and in addition to a competitive salary and benefits package, we provide access to a health care cash plan, Employee Assistance Programme and the Headspace App, should you need support during your employment.

You will be based at Marine Court, our residential rehabilitation centre on the West Sussex coast, which has a wealth of leisure facilities available. Situated in the seaside town of Littlehampton, you are just a 5 minute walk from the beach, harbour and River Arun, and a short drive to the South Downs National Park.

This role is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services Check.

The Charity is an Equal Opportunities employer, and we welcome applications from all sections of the community. When recruiting our new team members, regardless of the role, we are looking for people who share our values to help us to achieve our strategic plan.

About You
To be successful you will need to hold a degree-level qualification in a sports or exercise-related discipline, giving you specialist knowledge of exercise physiology, exercise psychology, exercise for special populations, health promotion and/or the principles of training.
Finally, you should have good initiative and excellent organisational skills, including the ability to maintain complex confidential electronic records.
