We are currently recruiting for 2 Family Support Workers within our Tewkesbury Families First team. Both vacancies are for a fixed term contract until the 31st March 2025.

About the role

 

Working as a Family Support Worker is an exciting, interesting, and rewarding role. Your aim will be to deliver targeted support to vulnerable children and their families to achieve better outcomes and reduce the need for higher level support and long-term demand for services.

 

You will undertake early help assessments and co-ordinate and deliver interventions using a solution focussed approach. By building supportive and empowering relationships with families, you will engage parents through creative and innovative strategies, in line with partner agencies and organisations.

About you

 

We are looking for someone with experience of working with children, young people, families, and communities to deliver a wide range of interventions.

Experience of working with multi-agency assessments and plans is also a must. 

 

A full driving licence and access to a car is essential. 

 

The role of a Family Support Worker requires you to work flexibly and may include working evenings and weekends.
