Head Chef wanted to create and cook food that they love…earn well with great hours!!

That's right, we're looking for a talented chef who loves cooking great food and wants to be part of a creative bunch of foodies looking to make a real difference in the workplace catering scene.

Here's the real kicker…

You'll be running a brand new kitchen in the recently refurbished offices of one of the world's biggest and best known brands who have innovation and a customer-focussed delivery obsession at the heart of everything they do which are the exact qualities we'll be looking for in you.

You'll currently either be at a Senior Sous Chef level looking to make your first step towards running your own brigade or you'll be an existing Head Chef, who wants a new challenge and the freedom to create some amazing food whilst making a name for themselves. Experience in workplace catering would be an advantage but is not essential.

We'll make sure you'll have all the tools to be successful and will guide and support you in mapping out your personal development.  

In terms of scope of the role, your team will consist of 4-6 chefs and you'll be kept busy in a building occupied by up to 2000 members of staff. Daily we'll be delivering a hot and cold breakfast and lunch offer, corporate hospitality, event catering with the opportunity for some fine dining.

WHAT WILL KEEP YOU BUSY:

  • Ensure that the location achieves, as a minimum, the financial targets agreed with the client in line with the budget
  • Monitor the work of all the staff and carry out appraisals, recognise training needs and potential as appropriate
  • Hold team meetings on a regular basis to communicate targets, standards required and company and client information
  • Work with your Operations Manager to prepare budgets; achieve and maintain the food cost in accordance with the budget
  • Develop and evolve all client’s services at location, ensuring regular adjustments and improvements are both recommended and implemented

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • You thrive on getting the best out of people and maximising commercial opportunities
  • You draw satisfaction from managing, training and supporting a team
  • You provide a professional catering service, ensuring that company standards are maintained and that Client expectations are met
  • Have experience in an General Manager role ideally in contract catering or hospitality
  • Good understanding of report writing and financial management.
  • Possess excellent supervisory and communication skills
  • Good delegation and influencing skills
  • Able to demonstrate your analytical approach to problem solving
  • Have the ability to display a real passion for food and customer service
