Job Title: Head of Safety, Health & Environment
Salary: £62,583 per annum dependant on experience & skills
About the Role
What You Will Do
- Lead and manage the health & safety and fire safety function across all Group members, including a small team of H&S professionals.
- Develop, implement, and monitor health & safety policies, procedures, and initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Provide expert advice to senior leaders and managers on health & safety matters.
- Maintain and review incident management and business continuity plans in coordination with senior leaders, external agencies and stakeholders.
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections across campuses.
- Deliver training and awareness programs to staff and students.
- Promote a positive health, safety, and wellbeing culture throughout the Group.
About You

Extensive experience in health & safety and fire safety management, ideally within a multi-site organisation.

Strong knowledge of current health & safety legislation and best practices.
- Experience in incident management and knowledge of business continuity planning

Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to influence, advise, and engage with stakeholders at all levels.

A degree in a relevant subject area & professional health & safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH)

Proven leadership skills, including experience managing a small team.
