Location: Remote (with travel)

Contract type: Permanent

Working hours: 37.5hrs per week

* Due to the nature of the role we will require you to have held a driving licence for more than a year

Our HR Business Partners here are Motorpoint are a knowledgeable (and busy) bunch. They are hands on with all things people. One minute they can be offering guidance and coaching the site leadership team the next minute they could be dealing with an ER issue. It’s a really fast paced role and no two days are the same but one there is one thing that always remains consistent and that is the quality and level of service that our teams get.

What will my Day to Day look like?

  • Assist team members with any HR or Employee Relations queries
  • Deliver ER upskill Workshops to all managers of the business
  • Compile letters for Leavers and Probations for all employees
  • Work closely with management to support them with managing performance, absence and labour turnover
  • Ensure all employees receive a first class on-boarding experience and are immersed in the Motorpoint culture & values
  • Ensure that each division has a robust succession plan in place
  • Compile monthly HR Scorecard data for the Board Report pack
  • Compile monthly leavers analysis report and send to all HR Team and assist with any actions this brings
  • Work closely with L&D team to ensure that your division has appropriate development plans in place
  • Identify training requirements of management team on site and provide support/training to line managers in respect of recruitment, ER and performance management
  • Identify any ER related trends that appear at sites, and work with HR Head of’s to resolve
  • Complete Exit Interviews on an ad-hoc basis with employees that we may have concerns over their reason for leaving
  • Organise and arrange Long Service awards with employees and liaise with managers to celebrate
  • Timely and efficient administration of all casework letters, reports and statements along with minute taking
  • Keep up to date with relevant employee legislation and make recommendations for improvements and changes where necessary
  • Liaise with our external legal advisory service to obtain advice on complex cases
  • Keep all Employee’s policies and ER toolkits up to date and in line with legislation
  • Assist with the production of key reports and data insights.

What are we looking for?

  • HR experience of working within Retail would be advantageous but not essential
  • Working knowledge of UK employment law and practices, have managed varied and complex casework and can considerately and discreetly deal with varied and sensitive situations and maintain confidentiality
  • You have excellent written, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • You are able to coach managers to engage and motivate their teams, deploying an empathetic approach, always living by our ‘Supportive’ value and doing the right thing
  • You focus on the employee experience
  • You are a creative thinker who deals well with change
  • You have experience in HR data systems and processes
  • Resilient & adaptable to fast paced changing environment.
