JOB PURPOSE
Â
As the Merchandise Planning Manager you will manage all Replenishment and Carry Forward planning activities across Accessories and Childrens within Burberry’s global planning organisation. In the absence of the Senior Manager, you will support the team and deputise in all key meetings.Â
Â
You will be responsible for:Â
- Managing Global Line Cards and Open to Buy for their Divisions
- Delivering Central Collection Open to Buy guidance and providing Seasonal Plans by Region, in line with guidance
- Owning relationships and driving collaboration with Central Merchants on Collection Development to ensure assortments meet both financial and creative objectives
- Ensuring the timely delivery of insightful commercial analysis in order to drive the business’ sales, sell through and margin
- Leading divisional Replenishment planning team in the absence of the Senior Manager Replenishment and Carry Forward, attending meetings as a divisional expert, delegating tasks and managing priorities within the team as necessaryÂ
RESPONSIBILITIES
Â
- Responsible for reviewing the Global Replenishment & Carry Forward Sales and Procurement forecast across division, driving performance in line with plans
- Responsible for managing Global Replenishment & Carry Forward OTB and ensuring adherence to global Weeks of Cover targets for both store and hub
- Review allocation of SPI products to maintain Target Stock levels in Stores and Hubs
- Alongside Director of Retail Merchandising, Division, responsible for monthly evaluation of trading with Regional teams to assess in-season management decisions and potential inventory rebalances across regionsÂ
- Responsible for driving insightful commercial analyses to highlight missed opportunities and hindsight for future collection guidance / development particularly with respect for regional ranging
- Responsible for maintaining stock levers in SPI and overall weeks of cover based on current trading and review/propose adjustments if necessary to future buys, in partnership with Inventory team,Â
- Accountable for Replenishment and Carry forward assortment, including additions and delist strategies to ensure key productivity KPIs are maintained.

- Demonstrated experience managing members of a continuity planning team in a fast paced commercial and luxury environment; fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and accountability
- Demonstrated experience across all aspects of Replenishment and Carry Forward planning, including global Open to Buy management, Line Card management and margin planning
- Customer-oriented when faced with business challenges
- Solid decision making capability driven by developing strategic product and business initiatives
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with credibility across all levels of the organisation, particularly Chief and SVP Level
- Dynamic and collaborative style, able to build positive working relationships with cross-functional teamsÂ
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
