Manager, Sales Operations- Maxcom – Remote

We are currently seeking an exceptional customer service professional to join us as Manager, Sales Operations.

As the leading supply chain solutions business in the aerospace industry Customers are at the heart of our business.

The Manager, Sales Operations will lead operational activities in support of customer fulfillment and be responsible primarily for MSDS processing, audit program management and customer implementation.  The Manager, has an advanced knowledge with regards to Maxcom products, customers, suppliers, and market competition. They are highly proficient and competent in customer engagement, sales negotiation, and are judicious in resolving account issues.  The Manager, Sales Operations will direct and allocate resources in quality orientation, organization, execution, and application of Maxcom sales operations initiatives, policies and programs that directly support strategic company and financial goals.

Essential Duities:

  • Maintain a strong understanding of Wesco’s current quality standards, product lines, pricing, and delivery schedules as it pertains to the Maxcom book of business
  • Engage existing customers to support sales opportunities through quoting and contract review for new and existing customers
  • Manage customer fulfillment activities to support scalability, quality and cost goals
  • Develop policies and procedures to optimize operational activities
  • Create, assess, refine and implement business processes to achieve operating plan
  • Establish and measure operational metrics to provide consistent visibility of progress to plan
  • Provide management with regular operational reports
  • Define needs, hire and manage human resources to support operational plan
  • Develop, manage and refine quality assurance programs
  • Identify, evaluate and implement optimal outsource strategies
  • Manage third party operational vendor relationships
  • Maintain systems in support of company’s operations
  • Define, plan and implement for optimal facility configuration
  • Review customer proposals prior to customer presentation to ensure consistent with business goals
  • Work with other functional groups to improve overall productivity and effectiveness
  • Coordinate software revision updates and problem resolution
  • Assist with and provide input and information into MAXCOM operating budget process, as required
  • Hire, mentor, train and develop staff in provision of the highest levels of quality and customer service, planning and measuring Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and goals
  • Maintain knowledge of supervisory responsibilities and enforce and uphold current Federal and State labor laws, Incora employment policies, safety, quality and security policies, as applicable
  • Attend and/or participate in external/internal customer or company meetings or sales/marketing events and communicate information to upwards and downwards, as applicable
  • Travel is necessary to the essential duties of the job (up to 20%)
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in study of business administration, Chemistry, Supply Chain Management, and/or a combination of education and relevant work experience in sales, is required
  • 7-10 Years of combined experience in fields of Chemical Product Management, Audit, Hazardous materials management, required
  • Demonstrated ability to be results-driven and profitability-minded, most specifically in customer engagement and sales negotiations
  • Previous audit/inventory experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in healthcare (hospitals/clinics), lab environment, manufacturing or chemical production industry is a definite plus
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards and regulations regarding hazardous materials, required
  • Proven ability to train, motivate and mentor internal and external customers and industry professionals
  • Strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills, with emphasis in Quality and Customer Service
  • Must possess a strong technical acumen to read and comprehend technical specifications and requirements
  • Strong follow-through and perseverance to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Maintain excellent organizational and time-management skills, with strong follow-through and perseverance to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Maintain excellent customer service skills with the ability to deal tactfully, confidently and ethically with both internal and external customers
  • Ability to be detailed oriented and perform in-depth account research, if required
  • Maintain clear and accurate data entry, documentation and reporting skills, as required
  • Maintain strong competency working with integrated data systems, Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and intermediate to advanced Word, Power Point and Excel (i.e., spreadsheets, formulas, importing and exporting of files, as applicable) as required
  • Must have the ability to travel
