We have an exciting new role for a design manager within our online team working on our Getting Personal branded website. We need a candidate who can ‘hit the ground running’ and therefore previous experience within design management of gifting, card or stationery, having previous experience of online isn’t a must but would be a bonus.

You will be working in fast-paced and creative environment alongside buying, the wider design team and marketing to ensure our Getting Personal personalized product portfolio continues to grow

  • Managing the personalized product portfolio of gifts, stationery and cards for the website.
  • Developing trends & looks to support the product direction and strategy for Getting Personal.
  • Responsibility for sourcing & briefing a large portfolio of freelance designers and working with the inhouse design studio to help bring your ranges to life.
  • Working with 3rd party suppliers to translate design looks for their product and provide appropriate artworks.
  • Liasing with our buying team to ensure the briefs are translated effectively and retain the essence of our Getting Personal brand.
  • Managing the annual design budget & ensuring all projects are completed on time.
  • Ideally you will have a previous background in design management from either gifting, stationery, or card background. Experience & understanding of working on website personalised products would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to react quickly to changing retail needs, being resourceful and resilient with a flexible approach to problem solving.
  • You will have a strong track record of managing multiple design projects at once.
  • Have excellent communication skills across an organisational structure.
  • Have experience of budget management & costs with good negotiating skills
  • Have built up a network of creatives and freelancers you can flexibly use on projects, and be able to translate trends to workable commercial briefs aligned to the Getting Personal brand.
  • You will have good adobe skills in photoshop, indesign and illustrator as you will be required to create designs, style guides & mood boards as part of your role.
