Could you be a Sense Support worker?
We are Sense, a high quality care service in Dereham, who are passionate about supporting adults with complex needs, including sensory losses and learning disabilities. Our main priority for this job role is to find people with the right values, behaviours and attitudes that match our own!
These opportunities are offered within a set rota system. As a Support Worker, you will work as part of a team to support two individuals on a one to one basis to live independent lives in their own home and access the local community. This will include assisting with their personal care needs, supporting them with household chores, to shop for and prepare meals, support them to participate in activities in the wider community and keep in contact with friends and families.
We’re seeking to recruit some great new support workers; people with the right values and behaviours to work in our residential care service – could this be you?
You don’t need to have previous experience in this field, nor do you need qualifications – we’re happy to work with you to help you become an excellent support worker. Above all we want someone that shares in our values. These are:
– We include, We collaborate, We find a way, We challenge, We celebrate.
However in this instance it is essential you hold a valid UK driving licence and are able/willing to drive our 9 seat mini bus.
Do you share these values? If so, read on…
The duties are varied and no two days will be the same. The people we support are individuals and they all treated as such. However, as a general guide, duties may include some support with personal care needs, as well as help to take part in a wide range of special interests and activities that support their health and wellbeing such as disco, hydropool and outdoor pursuits.
Take a look at the video below to see why we do what we do.
