JOB PURPOSE
The Regional Delivery Manager is responsible for leading and co-ordinating the execution of delivery strategies and change initiatives within a specified region to ensure a consistent and efficient approach while minimising operational disruption. This role involves collaborating with various Technical and Business Stakeholders, cross-functional teams covering the Portfolio Delivery and Service Transition/User Adoption teams in the UK, internal IT Operational teams, IT Partners, local delivery agents and business colleagues within stores and sites to provide a unified view of all ICS Portfolio Delivery / IT changes, ensuring alignment with organisational goals. The Regional Delivery Manager will oversee the end-to-end delivery process, maintain stakeholder satisfaction, ensure compliance with standards, and lead a regional team to achieve high-performance levels and continuous improvement and provide a single holistic view of all IT changes within the region.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Change Coordination:
- Maintain an overview of the ICS Portfolio Delivery programmes as well as other change programmes and initiatives being operated by IT and other functions, highlighting interdependencies and escalating exceptions to management when necessary.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with business colleagues, IT Partners and local agents acting as the primary point of contact for change initiatives.
- Lead and facilitate the implementation of ICS Portfolio Delivery change initiatives within the designated region.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a unified approach to change management.
- Develop and execute change management plans, considering the unique aspects of the local environment.
- Execution Oversight:
- Oversee and support the management and implementation of the ICS Delivery Portfolio programmes helping co-ordinate the end-to-end delivery process and hand-over to BAU within the region, ensuring alignment with programme and organisational objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate project progress, identifying potential risks and implementing corrective actions and mitigation strategies whilst also identifying areas for future improvement.
- Collaborate with project teams to establish and adhere to delivery timelines.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including regional teams, department heads, the ICS Portfolio Delivery team in the UK, IT Partners and local delivery agents.
- Communicate effectively with various levels of the organisation to garner support and drive change adoption.
- Address concerns and issues raised by stakeholders in a timely and efficient manner.
- Consistency and Compliance:
- Ensure consistent application of delivery methodologies and processes across the region.
- Monitor compliance with organisational policies and standards, making adjustments as necessary.
- Implement best practices to enhance delivery efficiency and effectiveness.
- Performance Measurement:
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of delivery initiatives.
- Analyse data and provide regular / support Project reporting to senior management on project performance, regional delivery metrics and IT Partner/Local vendor delivery performance.
- Provide input into Project completion reports and lessons learned reviews identifying continuous improvement.
- Working with ICS Portfolio Delivery Team:
- Receive direction and work closely with the ICS Portfolio Delivery team in the UK to align regional initiatives with the broader organisational portfolio.
- Provide updates on regional project statuses and escalate issues as needed to ensure a cohesive approach to delivery.
- Single Holistic View:
- Work closely with Regional IT Director and local delivery agents to consolidate information and provide a single holistic view of all IT changes within the region.
- Ensure transparency and alignment between local initiatives and the overarching organisational strategy.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and motivate a regional delivery team, providing guidance and support to ensure high-performance levels.
- Foster a collaborative and positive team culture that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
- Resource Management:
You will work with the ICS Portfolio Delivery programme / project managers / Service Transition and User Adoption Managers to ensure that they have the necessary resources to deliver their projects successfully.
PERSONAL PROFILE
- Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in major IT delivery, with at least 5 years in a management role.
- Good understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, and technologies.
- Proven experience in project management and change management, with a focus on regional or multi-location environments.
- Strong knowledge of industry best practices in project delivery and change / IT service management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organisational levels.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and address challenges proactively.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve project delivery issues.
- Familiarity with relevant tools and technologies for project tracking and communication.
