  • Experience working in a culinary/catering role in an education environment

  • Experience in training culinary skills
  • Financially astute with ability to understand and deliver food costings and margin management initiatives
  • Ability to work on own initiative but within a framework
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work away from home when required
Essential
  • Operational experience
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • First class self-presentation and integrity
  • Self-starter with excellent planning and organisational skills – the ability to order, plan and prepare and deliver food activities which can take place in varying types of location
  • Knowledge and understanding of The School Food Standards
  • An imaginative approach to presentation to suit the audience which could be Children, Head Teachers, Governors, Parents, Consultants or Business Managers
  • An ability to deliver under pressure and adapt to change
  • Driving licence
  • DBS
