We are currently seeking an exceptional customer service professional to join us as a Sales Specialist.

The Sales Specialist has a strongly developed and keen, specialist knowledge with regard to products, suppliers, and market competition. They are proficient and competent in negotiation, analysis and market development; and are judicious in resolving complex account issues. The Sales Specialist is a high level position that will lead, training, and mentor internal Sales Team Members. The Specialist is adept in organization, execution and application of sales initiatives, policies and programs directly supporting business plans and strategic objectives in meeting annual company and individual goals.

About You:
- Know, understand and incorporate Wesco philosophy, value and vision, and Sale initiatives and policies in all behavior, practice and decisions
- Serve as back up to Sales Supervisor, Assistant Sales Manager, Sales Manager, or Sales Director in their absence
- Be able to understand daily metrics packs and communicate those to the sales team
- Lead daily stand up meetings with sales team as needed
- Handle minor customer escalations
- Approve RMAs and Cancellations within set aproval matrix
- Be an “expert” in Wesco suppliers, products lines, quality standards, customer requirements, competition and markets
- Demonstrate expert knowledge in Wesco products, with regards to hardware, electrical, and chemical commodities
- Clearly understand sound sourcing practices by keeping familiar with supplier history due to acquisitions and mergers
- Demonstrate and communicate a strong understanding of Wesco's pricing and delivery schedules
- Review, understand and respond to basic long-term pricing agreements, as needed
- Work directly with customers on a regular basis, providing timely, appropriate and accurate responses to inquiries and requests; and resolving complex account issues with urgency and efficiency
- Maintain and develop new and existing Wesco customers through professional and appropriate sales methods
- Source products when necessary based on Wesco’s best practices
- Ensure adherence to customer approvals and quality requirements
- Understand and follow export compliance requirements
- Understand and utilize the internal data and information systems and Wesco Intranet to effectively perform job functions
- Provide support and assistance to Sales Branches, Internal Sales, Corporate Sales, Operations, Purchasing, Quality, Finance and other departments as needed to resolve sales related efforts
- Recognize when negotiation may produce sales opportunities and utilize effective negotiation skills
- Participate in and practice continuous improvement and/or process improvement efforts
- Process contract bids with minimal guidance
- Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales and areas of expansion
- Train and mentor internal Sales Representatives through North America Branches
- Partner with learning and development team to build and implement sales training programs, in regards to Wesco's pricing philosophy
- Participate in external/internal customer meetings
- Attend regular and impromptu sales meetings and company-sponsored training and events, as required

Education
Bachelor's degree in the area of study of Marketing, Supply Chain, Business Administration, and/or a combination of education and relevant work experience in sales, is required
Experience
- 5+ years of Inside/Outside Sales experience required (within the aerospace industry, is preferred)
- Proven ability to work well within a team environment to produce positive results
- Demonstrated ability to communicate in a professional manner and persevere through completion of tasks
- Proven ability to learn and obtain technical product details and ability to communicate requirement and specifications effectively
Proven ability to train, motivate and mentor Sales Representatives to excellence
Qualifications
- Ability to plan profitable sales and operational strategies to meet or exceed required goals
- Strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills, with emphasis in Quality and Customer Service
- Must possess a strong technical acumen to read and comprehend technical specifications and requirements
- Strong follow-through and perseverance to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

- Maintain excellent customer service skills with the abiity to deal tactfully, confidently and ethically with both internal and external customers
- Ability to be detailed oriented and perform in-depth account research, if required
- Maintain clear and accurate data entry, documentation and reporting skills, as required
- Maintain strong competency working with integrated data systems, Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and intermediate to advanced Word, Power Point and Excel (i.e., spreadsheets, formulas, importing and exporting of files, as applicable) as required
