Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a colleague to join the Site Maintenance Team/Engineering Department. You will form part of a small engineering team providing support to our large 420,000 sq ft food distribution depot which handles ambient, chill and frozen goods.
You will be required to work 40 hours per week. There will be a variety of shift patterns within the role, which will be discussed at interview. Overtime is dependent on business needs and there may also be requirement to travel to other parts of the business on occasions.
Working within a small team, you will help to keep the site operational from a maintenance viewpoint. You will ensure all tasks, such as repairs to bay doors and ramps, lighting and electrics, are conducted in a timely manner. That site facilities are kept in full working order and in good condition. That necessary audits, such as fire alarm tests and racking checks are performed to deadlines, with all issues/defects being reported promptly.
- Hold a time served apprenticeship
- Previous experience in the maintenance & servicing of warehouse & office facilities – minimum of 5 years
- Be of a multi-skilled calibre with qualifications to an electrically recognised status
- Reasonable knowledge in LV electrical systems and HVAC & refrigeration systems
- A self-motivated, committed team player who has a proactive approach to the development of the engineering department
- Able to work at height & multi temperature environments
- A flexible and adaptable approach to spontaneous challenges
- A strong knowledge of current health & safety legislations and preferably IOSH qualified or above
- Able to work to strict budgets
- An analytical approach with excellent problem solving abilities
- Experience of mechanical services would be advantageous.
- Be able to travel away from base to support business units in the network from time to time.
- Must have British standard electrical qualifications
Shift Hours: 40 hrs per week (Any 5 from 7)
