We’re currently recruiting a dedicated Store Man to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Chartwells on a full time basis, contracted to 35 hours per week.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Ensure you are aware of & comply with all client & company health & safety procedures and standards at all times e.g. Food Handling, COSHH, uniforms & PPE, Manual Handling, Fire procedures, Quality control
  • Complete, maintain and update all Food Safety and Health & Safety paperwork correctly when required
  • Maintain the cleanliness of all kitchens, storerooms, fridges, and surrounding working areas ensuring Health and Safety hazards, issues, near misses, and accidents are reported using the appropriate reporting procedures at the earliest opportunity
  • Ensure the correct storage, control and use of all machinery and equipment, cleaning materials and relevant chemicals
  • Responsible for the control, issue and receipt of all food deliveries
  • Process orders via nominated systems and use the correct approved Compass vendors
  • Check invoices and delivery notes and report any anomalies to your line manager
  • Supervise the receipt, correct storage, and quality of food supply and report any concerns or observations to your line manager
  • Unloading deliveries, and rotating the stock
  • Loading cages and pushing wheeled trolleys and cages to allocate the stock to various storerooms
  • Monitor all stocktaking procedures ensuring minimal risk of waste by complying with the company Profit Protection guidelines
  • Responsible for all unit stock transfers
  • Ensure all auditable paperwork is passed to the Accounts Department in a timely manner
  • Maintain good customer service and relationships at all times
  • Ensure correct disposal of all waste adhering to all environmental and company policies
  • Be flexible and comply with any reasonable requests made by your line Manage including if necessary, working within other units within a reasonable distance
