Are you organised with a working knowledge of photography and video production and an eye for detail? Can you provide support to our busy and active video and photography team, helping Macmillan to tell the stories that will inspire millions to take action?
We are striving to do everything we can to ensure that our workforce is representative of the people we support, and those who support us. We advocate for being an inclusive organisation, where everyone can feel that they belong and where there are no barriers to success.
We want every individual to feel empowered to bring their best to work, and that’s why we offer flexibility in our working locations, working hours and benefits so we can support you in your life and your career, and we welcome a conversation about how these options can best support you.
About the role
We’re looking for someone to work in our video and photography team within the content studio and contribute to the smooth running of our video and photo offer. You could be supporting internal clients, building pre-production documents, securely storing final assets on our DAM system, gathering performance data, generating POs or attending a shoot. No day will be the same and we need someone who can provide key support across all areas of video and photography. You may undertake basic video editing work as well as the uploading and tagging of photography content.
This role will be primarily based from home but with regular travel into the Vauxhall office with occasional travel to shoots or recces.
Please note all candidates are subject to a criminal record check for this role. This cost will be covered by Macmillan and all enhancements must be declared prior to the check.
You have excellent photographic and video knowledge with solid industry experience as well as demonstrable knowledge of Adobe Suite including Premier Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom and Bridge. You have familiarity working with taxonomy, tagging and caption information as well as an in depth understanding of video platforms, their technical specifications and the needs of their native audiences. Your excellent organisational skills and impeccable attention to detail will be essential as well as your professional understanding of data protection, accessibility, public liability and intellectual property rights legislation.
Our values are at the heart of who we are and everything we do, inspiring our thinking and guiding our actions. We strive to build a more diverse organisation, where everyone feels empowered to be their best self to work.
We welcome applications from everyone who meets the criteria and strongly encourage individuals to apply who have a disability, impairment or health condition or individuals who identify as Black, Asian or from another ethnic minority background, as these groups are currently under-represented at Macmillan. Our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy, along with our internal employee representation body, ‘Our Voice’ and 8 Employee Network groups help us promote fairness and belonging, becoming an engaged and inclusive organisation for all our people.
So we can support you to be your best during the application or interview process, please contact Macmillan People Services Team on Peopleservices@macmillan.org.uk for advice and recruitment adjustments.
The application deadline is Wednesday 8th February, with interviews taking place on Friday 17th February.
In order to ensure fairness and consistency to select the best candidate for this role, all of our applications are anonymised up until an interview has been confirmed so that shortlisting is based solely upon the suitability of the candidate’s experience.
