Description: We are looking for a dedicated and organised individual to join our Democratic Services supporting the smooth, open and accountable running of local democracy. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment at the heart of a world-famous city.

You’ll play a key role in co-ordinating and supporting councillor meetings, helping ensure transparency in decision making and your responsibilities will include:

Compiling and publishing agendas
Liaising with members of the public who wish to speak at meetings
Supporting councillors and meeting Chairs
Managing live streamed meetings via YouTube and Teams
Writing clear and accurate minutes

As someone who is well organised and able to manage multiple tasks as well as possessing strong communication skills with excellent attention to detail; you will be interested in local government and democracy.

Hours: This is a full-time role, for 37 hours per week.

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £36,124 – £40,476 per annum (City Pay Band 5), pro rata for part time.

Location: This can be flexible – working in Cambridge on site or at one of our offices or working from home. You will be able to balance your work location accordingly depending on the priorities of your role and team.
