Job Description

We are looking for General Catering Assistant to work within Wrekin college, prep. The role will be based at a superb location. As a General Catering Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Assist in the preparation and serving of meals to students and staff
  2. Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, adhering to food safety standards
  3. Help with washing up, cleaning equipment, and general kitchen duties
  4. Support the catering team in setting up and clearing dining areas
  5. Assist with food storage and stock rotation
  6. Follow recipes and portion control guidelines
  7. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  8. Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients
  9. Contribute to menu planning and suggest improvements when appropriate
  10. Assist with special dietary requirements and allergen management
  11. Participate in team meetings and training sessions
  12. Maintain accurate records as required by the school and regulatory bodies
  13. Assist with catering for school events and functions when needed
  14. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen and dining areas
  15. Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors

The successful candidate will be reliable, hardworking, and able to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
