Team Leader – Thurrock Drug and Alcohol Service – Thurrock

Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives? Join us in a community-based treatment setting, supporting adults with drug and alcohol challenges. You’ll be part of a service that delivers integrated, holistic interventions, covering clinical care, psycho-social support, and wellbeing programs tailored to each individual.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage a small caseload and deliver client-centred treatment.
  • Provide harm reduction advice and guidance.
  • Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and deliver structured 1:1 and group sessions.
  • Support and develop your team, providing supervision, training, and guidance.
  • Occasionally conduct urine and oral swab testing to support clinical care.
  • Work collaboratively with GPs, hospitals, mental health services, housing, employment, probation, police, and social services to help clients achieve lasting change.

As a Team Leader, you’ll also:

  • Work with the Service Manager to ensure KPIs and outcome measures are met.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC standards and safeguarding protocols.
  • Foster strong relationships with partner agencies to deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Support flexible service delivery, including possible evening/weekend shifts.

  • Experience in substance use services and delivering structured interventions.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Ability to manage caseloads, assessments, and treatment plans.
  • Excellent communication and partnership-working abilities.
