About the role

We’re looking for a Reward Partner to lead the operational rollout of our refreshed pay, reward, incentive, and recognition mix – ensuring MIB attracts, retains, and grows the best talent to deliver our strategic ambition.

In this pivotal role, you’ll take ownership of the entire annual reward cycle, from timelines and governance to manager guidance and communications. If you’re passionate about creating impactful reward strategies that drive engagement and performance, this is your chance to make a real difference

Key responsibilities 

  • Act as Reward SME for annual salary review/incentive cycle.
  • Lead the operational rollout of the revised pay, reward, incentive and recognition mix; including developing tools, guidance and training materials.
  • Ensure pay, reward, and incentivisation principles, processes, grading guidance, and governance are user-friendly, legally compliant, and delivered fairly.
  • Own the end to end delivery of Remuneration and Nomination Committee (REMCO) requirements (papers, data packs, action tracking); working with people operations, data, finance, and people partner teams as required.
  • Supporting the CPO in REMCO meetings where needed.
  • Oversee the delivery of fair and consistent pay practices in collaboration with the People Partnering team, People Operations and Finance.  
  • Support the People Partnering team with out-of-cycle pay awards and validation of gradings.
  • Ensure pay changes are administered on time and legally through the People Operations team.
  • Benchmarking pay, rewards, and employee bonus systems for new, existing, or changing roles.
  • Preparing benchmarking submissions for salary surveys.
  • Ensure MIB has a compelling employee benefits package aligned with our Employee Value Proposition.
  • Incorporate regulatory requirements into pay, benchmarking, grading, and performance systems.
  • Fulfil reporting obligations for example on gender pay, ethnicity pay, national living wage, real living wage, and national minimum wage.
  • Act as people representative on the pensions governance committee.
  • Keep subject matter expertise up to date.
  • Undertake supplier selection, contract renewal process and supplier reviews supported by the Procurement Team.

Skills and Experience 

  • Experience in maintaining, executing, reviewing and improving pay, grading and reward strategies and cycles
  • Demonstrable experience of working with data and a high level of proficiency with MS Office applications, in particular MS Excel/powerBI
  • A high level of numeracy and an analytical mindset
  • Ability to persuade, influence and negotiate at a senior level
  • Excellent planning, organisation and written/verbal communication skills
  • A curious, human-centred approach
  • Strong client facing experience and a strong ability and desire to collaborate across organisation boundaries and with the wider People Team
  • Experience of managing budgets and managing partnerships with internal and external providers including benchmarking partners
  • Ability to manage and participate in numerous projects, delivering a consistently high standard while acting with pace and delivering results
