Are you ready to take your maritime expertise to the global stage? This is a unique opportunity to represent the World Nuclear Transport Institute (WNTI) at the highest levels of international decision-making. As WNTI Principal Delegate, you’ll be the voice of our mission at the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and lead engagement with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on critical issues shaping the future of nuclear transport.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead Representation: Act as WNTI’s Principal Delegate to IMO and Lead Delegate to IAEA working groups, committees, and technical meetings.
  • Shape Policy: Monitor and influence updates to IMO instruments like the INF Code, IMDG Code, and SOLAS.
  • Drive Collaboration: Engage with Member States, IMO Secretariat, and industry partners to champion nuclear transport solutions.
  • Mentor & Educate: Support WNTI-sponsored students at the World Maritime University and deliver lectures on cutting-edge maritime nuclear topics.
  • Lead Working Groups: Oversee WNTI’s Maritime Applications, Nuclear Propulsion, and Transport Security groups, ensuring strategic objectives are met.

What We’re Looking For

  • Master Mariner (Class 1 Unlimited) with senior experience in maritime nuclear transport (command experience preferred).
  • Deep understanding of IMO instruments, UNCLOS, and international maritime frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication skills – able to influence, negotiate, and inspire across diverse audiences.
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
  • A collaborative leader who values diversity, inclusion, and innovation.
