The Royal Surrey Hospital are seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Locum Consultant Neurologist to join our dynamic team at the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing service within a Trust rated ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC and renowned for its commitment to innovation, research, and patient-centred care.
This role is for 5 PA/week for a fixed period of 6 months.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will contribute to outpatient clinics. The post holder will join an existing team of 6 consultants and 1 GPSi, 1 SpR, and 2 CNS’s and work to deliver comprehensive outpatient and inpatient neurology services, with scope to develop subspecialty interests (Acute Neurology, MS, Parkinson’s, Headache, Epilepsy, Movement Disorders).

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Full registration and a license to practice with the GMC
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register for Neurology
- MBBS or equivalent
- MRCP or FRCP or equivalent qualification
- Out of programme management experience (e.g. Deanery secondment)
- Provider status in ATLS/APLS/ALS or equivalent, or willingness to obtain within 6 months of interview date
Desirable criteria
- Educational Supervisor qualification
- Instructor status in ATLS/APLS/EPLS/ALS or equivalent
