Job summary
CSH is looking for a experienced, motivated and passionate leader to join our Podiatry Team, specialising in Diabetes and Wound Care. Why join us? This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop advanced clinical podiatry services, ensuring high-quality care for patients with complex foot health needs. You will be part of a wider multidisciplinary diabetes foot team, at Ashford & St Peters Hospital, participating in Multi-disciplinary Diabetes Foot Clinics and Hot Foot Clinics, providing expert clinical leadership in wound care and diabetic foot management. You will help lead the podiatry wound care service, delivering innovative and responsive programmes of podiatric care to improve patient outcomes. You will have experience of managing high risk diabetic patients, preferably in an MDT setting and also possess evidence of post graduate study/qualifications relevant to the role.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, together with advanced knowledge and skills in wound care and diabetic foot management. Good IT skills are beneficial as the role requires working across a range of clinical systems, however full induction, support and ongoing training are provided.
Although not essential, it would be desirable to be a non-medical prescriber.

Main Responsibilities:
Provide expert clinical leadership in wound care and diabetic foot management.
Lead service development initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
Deliver advanced assessment, treatment plans and interventions for high risk patients with complex needs.
Support and mentor junior staff, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated care pathways.
Contribute to audit, research and evidence-based practice within the service.
