Looking for your next challenge in IT infrastructure? If you’re someone who thrives on keeping systems stable, secure, and running smoothly, this could be the perfect role for you. As our Infrastructure Operations Manager, you’ll take the lead in managing a broad technology estate—from networks and hosting to end-user devices and collaboration platforms.
You’ll be based in Wakefield with hybrid working (2–3 days a week on site), and you’ll be the go-to person for ensuring our infrastructure supports colleagues across stores, offices, and remote locations. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners, lead a skilled team, and use your expertise to influence decisions, drive improvements, and deliver reliable, cost-effective IT operations.
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll lead the day-to-day operation of our infrastructure services, making sure everything runs reliably and securely. You’ll manage service levels, drive improvements, and oversee changes and releases with minimal disruption. You’ll plan for capacity and availability, govern supplier performance, and keep our infrastructure records accurate. You’ll also support and develop a high-performing team, while working closely with stakeholders across the business to align services with strategic goals and ensure compliance.
What we’re looking for:
- Strong experience managing hybrid infrastructure environments across data centres, cloud, and distributed networks.
- Proven leadership in IT operations, including networks, hosting, workplace services, and endpoint management.
- Solid understanding of ITSM practices and infrastructure security/compliance (e.g. PCI, GDPR).
- Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
- Relevant degree and ideally qualifications such as ITIL, CCNA, VCP, Azure, or Cloud Security.
