The AA is seeking a talented MI and Visualisation Manager to join our dynamic Digital Analytics Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing reporting and dashboarding across a wide array of products.
This role plays a critical part in supporting both internal stakeholders and external customers by delivering timely and insightful Management Information (MI) reports and visualisations. Additionally, the MI and Visualisation Manager will be instrumental in creating modern reporting solutions and driving self-serve analytics capabilities within the organisation.
What will I be doing?
- Lead the development and improvement of reporting and visualisation processes across Digital channels.
- Build and lead a team to create robust, scalable, and modern reporting solutions that address the business’s growing data needs.
- Work directly with multiple senior stakeholders, managing expectations, and prioritising work backlogs.
- Actively support Digital Analytics’ ways of working and processes for the reporting and visualisation function.
- Line manage reporting and visualisation analysts, plan capacity, and allocate resources effectively.
- Develop the reporting and dashboarding competency within the Digital Analytics team, including setting standards, defining processes, establishing career frameworks, job families, and role standardisation to ensure effective implementation and adherence.
- Oversee reporting improvements and provide advice on new products and propositions as required.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define and agree on KPIs for reporting and visualisation.
- Promote the usage of self-serve and automated reports, supporting processes to monitor MI usage, and identifying and retiring obsolete reports.
- Ensure users are fully trained on all new or updated reports, helping them understand how to derive the best value from the tools created, including support in show & tell sessions and sprint demos where needed.
- Work with business stakeholders to establish Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and track adherence to these agreed SLAs.
What do I need?
- Extensive experience working directly with multiple senior stakeholders, effectively managing expectations, and prioritising work backlogs.
- A broad technical skill set with previous hands-on expertise in MI and Metadata tools, applying best practices, self-service, and automation strategies.
- Extensive experience in building and maintaining reliable and scalable MI and Metadata reporting and dashboards, with proficiency in Power BI.
- Significant experience working with web and app analytics data, including GA4 (Google Analytics 4).
- A strong track record of performing complex data analyses with large data volumes. Expertise in reporting and dashboarding.
- Working knowledge of Data Warehousing Design Methodologies, including dimensional modelling concepts.
- Extensive data and business intelligence experience within a complex enterprise organisation.
- Hands-on SQL experience and have performed at least one role where SQL skills were an integral part of your responsibilities
