What the day will look like

In this role, you will provide analytical and operational support to investigators by managing data, conducting early-stage case activities, and preparing high‑quality materials that enable effective investigative outcomes. You will work with large and complex data sets while handling sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting investigators by managing and analyzing large, complex data sets related to case reviews and data loss prevention matters
  • Conducting initial case triage and early-stage investigative support to prepare matters for escalation
  • Performing preliminary case actions such as:
    • Case intake research
    • Open-source research (OSINT), including identifying relevant publicly available information and associated email addresses where appropriate
    • Initial risk sorting of matters based on established criteria and guidance
  • Applying search criteria and data filters (e.g., keyword lists, date/time ranges, custodians, domains, file types) to produce actionable case outputs
  • Organizing, summarizing, and preparing investigative materials so investigators can focus on evidence review, interviews, and case strategy
  • Creating and maintaining spreadsheets, summaries, dashboards, presentations, and other materials to support case tracking and reporting
  • Assisting in identifying patterns, trends, anomalies, or indicators of potential misconduct or policy violations
  • Staying informed on emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools, and identifying practical opportunities to improve investigative efficiency and team workflows
  • Partnering effectively with investigators and other stakeholders to ensure consistent, accurate, and timely support across matters
  • Maintaining confidentiality and appropriate handling of sensitive information at all times

Skills and experience that will lead to success

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field such as criminal justice, data analytics, intelligence, cybersecurity, business, information systems, or a related discipline, combined with strong curiosity about technology, data analysis, and emerging tools (including AI)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to review, filter, and interpret large volumes of information accurately and efficiently
  • Experience using Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; Copilot experience is a plus
  • Ability to organize information clearly and communicate findings in a concise, professional manner while managing multiple tasks and maintaining strong attention to detail
  • Comfort working with sensitive or confidential information and ability to quickly learn and follow established investigative, privacy, and case-handling processes
