We have an exciting role on offer within our Environmental services as a Group Leader (HGV Driver).
About Us
Middlesbrough Council Recycling and Waste services are looking to appoint a HGV Driver to drive a maximum of 26ft Refuse Collection Vehicle and lead a small team in collecting refuse and recycling.
To be successful in this role you need:
- A full LGV Class License.
- Carry a valid Drivers Qualification Card.
You will have a responsibility for driving a 26ft Refuse Compaction Vehicle in built areas. You will have the responsibility for ensuring that Health and Safety Legislations is always adhered to.
Operate our InCab computer system to report issues and confirm that collections have been made. You will also support supervisors for Recycling and Waste services in provision of effective service delivery.

Salary: £28,598 – £30,024
