Main duties and responsibilities
De Montfort University (DMU) is seeking to appoint a Workforce Data and Analytics Officer to work full time until the 24 December 2027 (fixed term) within the People Services directorate.
You will be responsible for the maintenance, quality assurance, analysis, and reporting of workforce data to support operational delivery, statutory requirements, workforce planning, and organisational decision-making. The role ensures the accuracy and integrity of workforce information through effective data management and quality assurance processes, while producing regular and ad hoc reports, responding to information requests, and providing workforce data analysis and insight. The postholder will support the development of workforce metrics, reporting, and dashboards to enable evidence-based decision-making across the University.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced data analyst with knowledge of working with complex datasets to develop quality outputs. You will have experience of supporting with the collection, collation, validation, and submission of workforce data for statutory returns, including Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA). Excellent written communication skills and experience of writing committee reports, guidance and other supporting materials for a range of audiences are essential. You will also possess project management skills, with the ability to work as a team. Previous experience in an educational or higher education setting will be advantageous.
