About us
We are looking for an experienced educator to join our team as a Lecturer in Economics and Social Science Education within King’s Foundations – a successful, friendly and thriving department located in the heart of London and the university. King’s Foundations is based in the iconic Bush House, a Grade II listed building that formerly housed the BBC World Service. Whilst most teaching will be based in Bush House, you may be required to work on any of the King’s campuses, or from home. About the role
The successful candidate will:
- Be responsible for teaching highly capable and motivated international students on the King’s International Foundation, a one-year, RQF Level 3 programme for those intending to progress to undergraduate degrees at the university
- Enable students to achieve their potential and progress to King’s as independent, critical, and creative learners
- Contribute to the design, development, and delivery of the Economics and Social Sciences modules and potentially other modules within the Business and Economics Pathway or Politics, Culture & Social Sciences Pathway | King’s College London such as Maths for Business and Economics or Global Politics.
- Provide academic and pastoral support as Personal Tutor to a group of tutees, some of whom may be under-18. Please note that an enhanced check by the Disclosure and Barring Service is a prerequisite for this role.
This is a Grade 6, 1FTE, and you will be offered a fixed term contract until 30.06.27
