An opportunity has arisen to join this UKCRC registered trials unit as a Research Associate (Trial Manager), contributing to the successful delivery of funded trials and other clinical trials/research studies within the centre portfolio. 

 
With a postgraduate degree at PhD level or relevant experience, you will need to be an excellent organiser and have a proven ability to prioritise and meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) are also essential, and experience of conducting and organising multi-centre studies and/or research in a health environment. You will also need to have previously written protocols and patient materials, and possess knowledge of scientific principles and current legal, governance and ethical requirements of both Investigational Medicinal Product (IMP) and non-IMP trials. Experience of research data management using appropriate software is also required.

This position is full-time (35 hours per week), fixed-term until 30th June 2027 and available from 1st July 2026. However, this post is subject to a review process and may therefore be extended, or converted to open-ended.

This role is eligible to be offered on a blended working basis, meaning that as well as spending time working on campus you can also choose to spend some time working from another location, e.g. your home. The University is committed to offering this flexibility, wherever the role and business need allows, supporting work-life balance.

Salary: £41,064 – £46,049 per annum (Grade 6)

Appointments to roles at Cardiff University are usually made at bottom of scale unless in exceptional circumstances.
