Facilities Manager – Warrington, Cheshire, WA1 4SF
Permanent – Full-Time

- Our team at Warrington has a wide range of backgrounds and skills, and we are ideally looking for someone from a multiskilled background. Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Ensure the site maintains appropriate accreditation and permits and operates in full compliance with all relevant legislative and regulatory standards.
- Prioritise spend, resources and activities across the site to maximise the effectiveness of both proactive and reactive services.
- Direct, manage and monitor all site services contracts and works, ensuring compliance with site, health and safety, regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Provide clear leadership, communication and direction to ensure colleagues are safe, engaged, focused, developed and performing to their full potential.
- Set and manage annual service budgets, balancing cost efficiency and operational effectiveness within agreed parameters.
- Identify, prioritise and develop CAPEX proposals to maintain, improve and develop site infrastructure in line with Greencore and Group strategic objectives.
- Manage and maintain key operational services including refrigeration, compressed air, steam generation, water supply and discharge, effluent treatment, lifting equipment, heating and cooling, electrical services and building fabric.
- Relevant degree qualified (e.g. BEng) / Member of a recognised professional body – EI / IET/IMechE
- Substantial utilities and systems-optimisation experience across water, waste and energy
- Have familiarity with Building Management Systems and other site performance monitoring systems to aggregate multiple data
- sources.
- Possess strong analytical abilities and attention to detail
- Have a secure knowledge of environmental issues relevant to air emissions, water, wastewater, waste, hazardous chemicals
- Proven track record of managing multiple group service contracts
- Proven track record of operating at a group management level within a food manufacturing environment/high care environment
- /other appropriate manufacturing environment
- Project Management skills
- Knowledge or Ammonia / Glycol chillers
- Knowledge of LOLER and Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (site dependent)
- Knowledge of EaWR and an appreciate of best practice maintenance on LV/HV systems
- Competent in the use and development of Risk Assessments and Method Statements
- Awareness of budgetary management related to service contracts
- Contractor Management
- Experience in dealing with Insurers and HSE
- Ability to complete report writing etc.
