Warehouse and Transport Team Leader

Salary: £35,142 Plus Benefits

 

 
 
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Warehouse and Transport Team Leader. As a team leader in our fast-paced warehousing environment, you will play a critical role in ensuring efficient and timely operations. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the warehouse team and managing the transportation logistics to ensure smooth and seamless operations.
 
Responsibilities
  • Planning and organizing resources (people and vehicles) to ensure products are delivered efficiently to patients within agreed timescales and ensuring compliance with transportation regulations, health & safety laws, and industry standards
  •  Co-ordinates the efficient and fair day-to-day running of the operation with the warehouse operatives and PSOs
  • Follows the goods-in process and procedures, ensuring accurate receipt and storage of deliveries
  • Picks items efficiently and accurately in line with patient prescriptions and Completes the packing of prescription treatments
  • Follows all internal procedures, regulatory and health and safety guidelines, to ensure the highest of standards for patients
  • Providing leadership and guidance to team, including setting goals, assigning tasks, and monitoring and managing performance

About You

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role, with proven leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and other relevant software.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.
