We are currently looking for an Administrator to join our friendly team in our Agecroft site, in Salford, near Manchester. This role is easily accessible from Bolton, Oldham, Rochdale, Stockport, Ashton-under-Lyne, Warrington, Wigan, St Helens, Chorley and the surrounding areas.

Once you are fully trained in the role of Administrator, you will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid manner.

The role of Administrator is to provide administrative support to the Contracting Pave business to ensure we operate safely, effectively and efficiently. Key responsibilities for the successful Administrator will be:

  • Working with operational teams to coordinate all requirements and place required orders for site works
  • General administrative tasks including electronic filing
  • Checking and processing timesheets on a daily basis
  • Updating spreadsheets to maintain control on ownership, cost and utilisation of company vans, mileage and fuel and Health and Safety tracker
  • Issuing safety packs and toolbox talks to operational teams
  • Working to deadlines and supporting the operational team


Suitable candidates for the role of Administrator will have experience working as an Administrator preferably within a fast paced production environment. You will possess good planning and organisation skills and be able to:

  • Create and update spreadsheets and use MS Office as well as in-house systems
  • Work unsupervised and also work collaboratively as part of an administration team to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner and to a high standard
  • Remain customer focusses to ensure our people and customers are getting an industry leading service
  • Communicate effectively at all levels, in a clear and concise manner
  • Achieve results, deliver high standards and exceed expectations
  • Contribute to new and innovative ways to carry out our business activities
  • Demonstrate a ‘Proud to work for Tarmac’ attitude, building rapport and positive relationships with customers and internal colleagues
