The Planning service supports the Council’s economic development and planning initiatives. We are thrilled to offer an opportunity to join our busy and proactive Building Control team.

As a Business Support Officer, you will be responsible for registering building control applications, booking site inspections, and providing general help and support to our team of Building Control Surveyors. In this busy role you will be required to provide excellent customer service, acting as a point of contact for providing information, advice, and assistance regarding the building regulations.

We’re looking for an individual who can deliver exceptional customer service, work well under pressure in a busy team, and demonstrate problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in various IT packages, including Microsoft, is essential. If you’re motivated, proactive, and eager to contribute new ideas, this opportunity provides full support for your personal and professional development.
