The Role
We are recruiting for a compassionate Care Assistant to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our customers every day.
As a Care Assistant at Pitches View, you would be expected to embrace values of empathy, respect, and dignity as you provide essential care to individuals in need.

In caring for our customers, your main duties will include:
- Personal care
- Medication administration
- Supporting people through temporary or terminal illness
- Helping with eating and drinking
- Light domestic duties such as bed making
- Support with social, physical activities and mental stimulation such as hobbies and recreation

About Pitches View…
Pitches View is situated in the village of Reydon, one mile north-west of Southwold, Suffolk. Pitches View is close to local amenities including doctor’s surgeries, dentists, shops, hotels and restaurants, and village hall.
Pitches View is an Extra Care housing scheme, helping our customers to live independently for as long as possible. It gives them the security and privacy of a home of their own, with a range of shared facilities on the premises and 24-hour care services if needed. It also offers couples the opportunity to continue living together.
Because of the location of the service, having a driving licence can be helpful, but it isn’t essential – we welcome applicants who use public transport or other travel options.

Person Specification…
- Care Certificate, is desirable
- QCF Level 2 in Health and Social care or equivalent, is desirable
- Full driving licence, is desirable
Interviews will be held as an engaging two‑hour practical assessment, giving applicants the chance to experience first‑hand what the Care Assistant role is all about. The session will also be interactive, offering a meaningful opportunity for applicants and residents to meet, connect, and get a real feel for our community.
