We have an exciting role on offer within our Environmental Services as a Catering Area Manager.
An exciting role has arisen within the Catering team.
The Catering Area Manager will be managing the school kitchens, and the successful candidate will oversee the day to day staffing issues and dealing with all relevant management and HR related information.
The Catering Area Manager will lead the teams with the assistance of the Mobile Catering Supervisor and the Unit Supervisors with the healthy nutritious meals in line with food-based standards.
To be successful in this role you need:
- Experience of all activities of food production and paperwork.
- To have understanding and have experience of Health and Safety within the kitchen environment, ensuring all health and safety is thoroughly up to date, and risk assessments are followed and updated when required.
- Experience of customer-based systems (Excel and Word).
- Hold a full clean Driving License with proof of business insurance.
You will have a responsibility for carrying out training with the catering teams.
We offer
Milage will be paid where required in accordance with Middlesbrough Council’s procedures.

Salary: £36,363 – £38,220
