Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Chef de Partie to join our busy staff canteen in the City of London.

This role is ideal for a chef seeking a better work-life balance while working with fresh food in a professional environment.

You will work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef, supporting the daily operation of a high-volume staff restaurant serving breakfast and lunch. Duties include hot food production, deli salads, grab & go items, hospitality requests and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook fresh food to a high standard

• Support breakfast and lunch services

• Produce deli salads, grab & go items and hot dishes

• Assist with stock control and minimise waste

• Maintain excellent food hygiene and Health & Safety standards

• Ensure food is presented attractively and consistently

• Work efficiently as part of a professional kitchen team

What we offer:

• £15.20 per hour

• Monday to Friday only

• 6:30am – 3:00pm shifts

• No evenings, weekends or Bank Holidays

• Excellent work-life balance

 



Qualifications

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or a strong Commis Chef

• Experience in staff dining, contract catering, canteens or high-volume kitchens is desirable

• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks

• Good communication and organisational skills

• Understanding of Food Safety and Health & Safety procedures

• Passion for fresh food and attention to detail

• Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team

• Right to work in the UK is essential
