Cleaning Operative

Location: East Kilbride

Hourly rate: £12.21 per hour

We’re currently recruiting a Cleaning Operative to join our cleaning team at a production site for 14forty. As a key member of the cleaning operation, you will play an important role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene to support safe and efficient production. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Working alongside the production and cleaning teams to ensure the site meets required hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards

  • Carrying out routine and deep cleaning of production areas, equipment, and machinery in line with site procedures

  • Cleaning and sanitising floors, walls, work surfaces, and touchpoints using approved cleaning chemicals and methods

  • Following all health & safety, food safety, and site hygiene regulations at all times

  • Responding promptly to spillages and cleaning issues to maintain a safe production environment

  • Emptying and disposing of waste in line with site and environmental procedures

  • Monitoring and restocking cleaning supplies as required

  • Completing basic cleaning or hygiene records where necessary

Our ideal Cleaning Operative will:

  • Have excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills

  • Enjoy working in a hands-on, active role within a production environment

  • Ideally have previous cleaning experience in a production, manufacturing, or similar setting (training will be provided)

  • Be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to follow procedures accurately

  • Have a flexible approach to working hours and tasks
