Fostering Regional Recruitment and Retention Hub – Transforming Young Lives

Join our Fostering Southwest Hub as a Communications Officer and support the delivery and development of effective fostering recruitment across the region, in line with National Standards and Regulations.

As a Communications Officer, you will create targeted and timely communications to various audiences to support fostering recruitment. This includes providing information about the role of foster carers, application processes, and support options available to prospective foster carers. You will ensure that audiences are informed about local authority fostering offers, priorities, news, events, activities, and policies. You will support the Communications Lead in reviewing and evaluating the impact of marketing and recruitment strategies, demonstrating a flexible and agile approach to market trends and insights. You will also act as a specialist communications link between Fostering Southwest and communications teams in partner local councils to ensure a coordinated regional approach.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in communications, excellent interpersonal and digital skills, and experience in event organisation. A good understanding of all social media channels and the ability to work both independently and within a team are essential.
