Coordinator, Global Royalty – Franklin, 37067, United States of America 

The Coordinator, Global Royalty at UMPG is positioned to contribute and learn as part of a world class royalty team whose key goal is to ensure fast and accurate royalty accounting to songwriters. The role scales across UMPG’s global landscape, as well as the assurance of future royalties through data rich projects. Reporting to the Manager, Global Royalty, the Coordinator role encompasses royalty statement processing, royalty assurance, and support during quarterly royalty accounting closes. In addition, this position will include researching, reviewing and checking data for accuracy and rectifying any errors, and will work on a variety of projects for Global Administration and our global affiliates. The position is rich in opportunity for involvement with the company’s biggest deals, signings, and international projects.

How You’ll Create

  • Support UMPG’s royalty process with royalty statement processing in an accurate and timely manner and in accordance with company controls.

  • As part of royalty assurance, load and maintain UMPG metadata and assist with revenue generating projects.

  • Ensure accuracy in all processing and reporting by verifying song matches.

  • Execute the timely due diligence and review of suspense data, seeking to maximize songwriter payout.

  • Prepare and review royalty statement reconciliations as needed to ensure accurate reporting to songwriters.

  • Provide reporting on information from UMPG systems for management or affiliates.

  • Employ critical thinking in the review of data and analytics to ensure accurate royalty processing.

  • Learn and develop ownership in assigned projects as part of the core area of concentration.

  • Ad hoc projects and responsibilities as required in response to changing business requirements.

  • Overtime as required.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and text editors.

  • 1 year of work experience or prior internship experience in music business administration is strongly preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in the areas of Music Business, Business Administration, or Accounting is preferred.
