Overview

We’re hiring a Customer Renewals Associate to join our Accountancy team in Slough – a role designed for someone at the start of their professional career who wants to learn, grow, and make a real difference from day one.

This role is about people, communication, and trust. You’ll work with customers who already use our software, helping them understand their renewal options and ensuring they continue to feel supported, informed, and confident in choosing IRIS Software Group.

No previous renewals or software experience is needed. What matters most is your willingness to learn, your ability to communicate clearly, and your interest in building strong relationships.

Why This Role Matters

Every business relies on software that works reliably and is backed by great support.

The Customer Renewals team plays a crucial role in making that happen. When customers reach the end of their contract, this team ensures:

  • Customers understand what they’re renewing and why it matters
  • Any questions or concerns are handled clearly and professionally
  • Customers feel valued and supported, not pressured

As a Customer Renewals Associate, you help customers continue using software they rely on every day. Your work helps maintain trust, long-term relationships, and positive customer experiences – which are essential to IRIS’s success.

Why This Role Is a Brilliant Place to Start

This role is designed for career starters who want real responsibility, structured support, and clear progression.

You’ll be trusted to manage customer conversations, but never left to figure things out alone. Training, coaching, and guidance are built into the role from day one.

You’ll develop:

  • Confidence speaking with customers
  • Professional communication skills
  • Organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Commercial awareness and attention to detail

These are skills that transfer across many roles and industries – and are highly valued across IRIS.

About the Team You’ll Join

You’ll join a supportive team of 10–15 Customer Renewals Associates and Advisors.

The team works collaboratively, sharing knowledge and supporting one another. Questions are encouraged, learning is celebrated, and success is recognised.

You’ll be surrounded by people who want to help you grow and succeed.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

  • Speak to customers by phone and email about upcoming renewals
  • Answer questions and provide clear renewal quotations
  • Explain options in a simple, helpful way
  • Take ownership of customer enquiries and follow them through
  • Keep renewal records accurate and up to date
  • Proactively contact customers so nothing is missed
  • Build professional relationships through regular communication
  • Learn our products so you can confidently support customers

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need previous renewals experience. You’ll be a great fit if you have:

  • Experience dealing with customers (in person or over the phone)
  • Clear and friendly communication skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • The ability to stay calm and organised
  • Basic IT skills (Outlook and Microsoft Office)
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • An interest in building a long-term career

Experience in sales, finance, or accountancy is helpful but not required.

What You’ll Gain

You’ll receive structured training, hands-on support, and ongoing coaching.

Over time, you’ll build:

  • Strong customer and communication skills
  • Confidence handling commercial conversations
  • A solid understanding of accountancy software
  • Experience that opens doors across the business

Many people progress from this role into Renewals Specialist, Account Management, Customer Success, Sales Support, and other opportunities across IRIS.
