The Student Accommodation Centre at Loughorough University are looking for someone to join the team as a Customer Services and Accommodation Officer. 

This role is based on site on our beautiful Loughborough Campus, working full time. 

 

Here’s more about the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing the experience of the students who reside in the University halls of residence.

 

You will regularly develop interesting and interactive material for annual events held in Halls of Residence and generate engaging content for the Student Accommodation Centre’s social media platforms and communication tools to provide a positive living experience and up to date information for Students living in Halls.

 

You will act as a main contact for customer feedback and complaints resolution and as a key contact for Hall Chairs, Committee and Students in Halls, to provide professional and helpful assistance at all times.

 

Here’s what we’re looking for:

A friendly individual who will have a shared responsibility for supporting the Student Accommodation Centre reception on a rotational basis.

 

An approachable individual, who can provide professional advice and support to prospective students and their parents.

Someone who is creative thinker and callable of generating new ideas to engage content with the Student Accommodation Social media platforms and communication tools.

 

And someone who is flexible, pro-active and engaging, with an eagerness to provide additional support to other areas of the accommodation centre during busy periods, working well as a team member.

 

Key Requirements

  • Experience of creating original and engaging content for social media, web and other digital channels
  • Proficient in IT packages within an office environment including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • The ability to write professional, appropriate content that is relevant to the target audience
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to relate to students, colleagues and senior managers, face to face and through other mediums
  • To assist in supporting arranged tours of Halls for prospective Students, as part of the University’s Open Days and School Visit Days
  • Have had relevant work experience within a customer facing role
