London Business School have an exciting new opportunity to join our Advancement department as Development Manager, Student & New Alumni
As the Development Manager for Students and New Alumni, you will play a crucial role in re-establishing and delivering a student philanthropy programme. You will engage with new alumni from 0-5 years post-graduation, working within the Annual Giving team to lead efforts in reunion fundraising, leadership annual giving, and student philanthropy.
The Advancement department is integral to advancing the vision and ambition of the School. Engaging with over 53,000 stakeholders across 155 countries, the department focuses on building mutually beneficial relationships and supporting the School’s growth through fundraising and community engagement.
Main Responsibilities
- Plan and execute fundraising efforts for cohorts of current students and new alumni.
- Promote fundraising through key milestones such as graduations and reunions.
- Recruit, motivate, and manage fundraising volunteers.
- Secure gifts through peer-to-peer interactions.
- Collaborate with Advancement colleagues to build a culture of philanthropy.
Who we are looking for
- Proven experience in managing and motivating volunteers.
- Experience in individual fundraising and annual giving activities.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Strong organisational and project management abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with tact and integrity.
- Proficiency in MS Office and database systems, including Raiser’s Edge
